Description

Messmer Echter Ostfriesen-Tee – Finest East Frisian Black Tea 25x – with 25 tea bags

When it comes to tea specialties, the East Frisians don’t let themselves be fooled. It has to be strong and full-bodied – just like the finest East Frisian tea from Messmer. You will receive the black tea in 25 double-chamber bags packed in individual envelopes.

The real East Frisian tea corresponds to a good old tradition. Exquisite teas from the Assam region in northern India determine the strong character that the East Frisians have appreciated for generations. The Messmer tea experts also celebrate a special moment of pleasure with this tea and the typical East Frisian serenity.

Today, this traditional blend of exquisite black teas with its strong taste is not only appreciated in East Friesland, but throughout Germany.

PREPARATION: Boil fresh water and pour boiling water over the tea. The brewing time is 3 to 5 minutes. The tea has a stimulating effect for up to 3 minutes and is no longer stimulating after 5 minutes. With brewing times of more than 5 minutes, black tea can taste a bit bitter.

About Messmer

Messmer – a formerly independent tea trading company – is now a brand of the Ostfriesische Tee Gesellschaft.

The company has its origins in a delicatessen and grocery store that was founded on September 21, 1852 by Eduard Meßmer in Baden-Baden. Messmer soon became the purveyor to the court of Wilhelm of Prussia and his wife Augusta, who for many years were guests at his father Johann Friedrich Baptist Messmer’s hotel, the Hotel Messmer. In 1886 Messmer was able to open a branch in Frankfurt am Main, which was managed by his son Otto Messmer (1858-1940). In 1895, Otto Messmer had the Messmer Tee trademark protected.

In 1990 the company Ed. Messmer GmbH & Co., Frankfurt am Main and Grettstadt, was taken over by the East Frisian Tea Company Laurens Spethmann GmbH & Co. KG from Seevetal. The current range of the Messmer brand includes 46 types of tea or tea blends, which are sold both loosely and in double-chamber tea bags.
